A novel frequency reconfigurable antenna for smart grid applications in TV white space band

<span>This paper presents the design and analysis of a frequency reconfigurable, aperture coupled rectangular patch antenna for use in smart grid applications TV white space bands. The proposed model has been realized on multi-substrate layers Polylactic acid (PLA) material (</span><em><span>εr</span></em><span>=2.65, </span><em><span>tanδ</span></em><span>=0.003) with ground plane sandwiched between them. An made coupling energy to patch. overall system dimensions are 270×270 mm. feature reconfigurability achieved by incorporating switch varying reactance feed line bottom substrate. A slot long improves impedance matching. ON OFF states provide two operating bands namely 630.13 636.7 MHz 619.16 625.3 respectively. reconfigurable operates maximum gain 6.4 dB average efficiency 78.5% both measured results satisfactory will be suitable operation environment.</span>
